"My eyes look too close together, how can I make them look farther apart?"
Eyes can appear too close together (or just slightly "off") if the distance between them is less than the width of your eye itself. In other words, the average face is designed 'eye / eye-sized space / eye' in even thirds. If the space between your eyes is small enough to bother you, there are plenty of tricks you can employ to make them appear farther apart.
The next step is to use pale, light-reflecting eye makeup to open up and widen the space between your eyes. An easy place to start is applying a bit of white shimmer to your inner eye.
Try a pearly white eyeshadow like MESS Loose Pigment in Pearl Street either dry for a soft look, or wet your brush and make a "diamond tear" for a bit of sexy eye drama. This is a cute, clean look that can hold up on its own with the addition of a little mascara on your outer lashes, or you can continue to apply full eye makeup…
If you want to apply eyeshadow to your upper lid, make sure you contain use of darker colors to the outer edge of your eye to continue drawing attention in that direction.
Eye pencil should never be applied to the inner corners of closely set eyes. Begin your top line about one-third of the way across your lash line (away from your tear duct) and try continuing the line a bit past the end of your lashes. If you line your lower lid, start near the middle of your eye and draw outwards.
